Who has to keep fridge temperature records?
Australia: “category one” food businesses must make records each day they carry out prescribed food handling activities and keep the records for at least 3 months (Standard 3.2.2A). Electronic records are allowed.
UK: keeping chilling records is expected, though not clearly required by law. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, cold food must by law be kept at 8 °C or below.
US: it depends on your state or county. Logs are often asked for with a HACCP plan or by an inspector.
This sheet is a printable record, not proof that you meet any rule. Check what your local inspector expects.
